Restoration of

Vintage and Antique Watches

The Escapement has served Jewelers, Antique Dealers and Collectors with fine professional restoration and repair services on antique watches for over 40 years.  We have expanded to provide the public with the same quality care and craftsmanship their treasured heirlooms.  European and American pocket and pendant watches made from the late 1700's through the 1950's can be returned to their original beauty and run like new.

The Escapement was founded in 1975 to provide local watchmaking services in the Binghamton, NY area.  In 1996 we expanded our services to include both national and international clients.  Our satisfied clients reside in all 50 states and in over a dozen different foreign countries.

I'm Ed Ueberall.  My professional affiliations include being a life member of the American Watchmakers/Clockmakers Institute and a long-term member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors (NAWCC).  I received the James T. Gibbs Award from the NAWCC in 1999 and became a NAWCC Fellow in 2005.  Along with Kent Singer, I co-author the Railroaders Corner column in the NAWCC Bulletin.
